Vendetta

Walking through the waste land-
For ages; all alone,
I have lived in the cemetery;
Buried deep within.

I have watched over Nothing,
Waiting for no one..
My existence is scarred-
Walking through the Deads.

I dwell at nights-
In Dark desolation.
I croon the songs of despair
With notes of melancholy.

I shadow everyone around..
There’s no way of Escape
Or Walking past Me, For I am now the
Will and Vendetta rules Me..

..

    Powerful… your words in the beginning caught my attention…
    ‘I have lived in the cemetery;
    Buried deep within.’
    Perfect ending too…

    Waiting for no one to come..

    Great expression describing that place we have all been. You have revealed, in words, the darker side of dark and in “waiting for no one to come” the self-fulfilled prophecy has been filled…no one comes. Nicely done!

    very nice olivia…a darker piece, but relatable as i think we have all found that place where something is done to us and we seek justice…or what we define justice as…vendetta…

    Super dark and deliciously creepy!! gave me some goddamn chills, lady!!
    Those bouts of melancholia are very well expressed, Liv… they seeped out from your poem, and off the screen!!
    And that image you have chosen is quite deadly AND captivating!! It perfectly complements your deeply greyed words… excellent work!!!

    You’re scaring me, I feel like you’re going to come after me tonight! 😉 Seriously though, when you have so much anger inside you that you want to lash out at everyone, it feels like the king of Hades himself is ruling you. I like the images created by your words and how they are effective in evoking dark emotions in the readers.
