Shaping Up

..

..

Let the chisel define my shape,
Carving a beautiful figurine of me!
Rub me on my sharp edges,
Polishing me till I become tranquil.

Hammer me hard, to check my strength-
Riffling an intricate pattern of me!
I wish to shine bright and big,
Standing tall through all the timelines.

Dissolve me within the Ether!

    Olivia!
This is one of my favorites of yours. I love the idea of the elements refining us, not eroding us. Lovely.

I like the image your poem brings to mind . . the sculptor chopping off the bits that didn’t look like Saint Francis . .

After getting rubbed, polished, and hammered, how do you find the strength to get chisled?
Your a sexy little thing Olivia, be careful.
    Very cryptic 55.

Hey Olivia, thanks for posting your newest. Sorry I haven’t dropped in for a while, but while I had a minute I figured to say aloha and find out how things are going in your neck of the woods. Love the short poem, shows in very succinct terms the passion you bring to life and your willingness to share in the joys and sorrows of everything around you. Take care and keep posting! There is some great poetry in you and it is a pleasure to read any time. Until next time,

    crb.
