At times I feel I’m left behind,
Farther away than time can bind-
A gone era to be read about;
Of glorious past, struggles n my fallout!

I’m now trying to bring in some order,
From where I’d become a recluse at border-
Nothing seemed to be working out;
It made a perfect sense to keep out!

A chain of events that had begun-
Throwing me off guard- making me run..
A nomadic life I now lead,
A piece of ground is all I need.

    “A nomadic life I now lead,
    A piece of ground is all I need.”

    My sentiments exactly Olivia, If not for the rough spots in life we could not appreciate the times of smooth sailing.

    “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.” (Psalm 27:5)

    Hoping you go beyond that “piece of ground” and have your feet set “high upon a rock.”

    More than just your poetry Olivia…I appreciate YOU!

    You will find your place soon. Life is always changing for us, never stands still, the secret is not to fight it, try and let life just…flow.. it’s much easier because no matter how much we worry, fret, fear it, life still happens, and what will be, will be, whether we worry about it or not. It will still happen, so try and let go and let it just…be as it will. Not easy but, there are so many of us who have been where you seem to be right now. remember, soon, this ‘now’ time of yours will be in your past.

    Olivia,
    You use your despair to create a poem of urgency and meaning. That, in itself, is an overcoming of sorts.

      wow! Is that how it works?
      No wonder it has been healing me since.. I typically try to end it on a positive or a wishful note. That’s precisely why things are changing now. I do believe words create magic.. thank you sooooooooo much !!!

    This is that path each must traverse first alone. Mine I called “The Corridor Called Time” and once you met yourself, you can introduce you to some one else.

    we all travel the road…the good news is we do not travel it alone…i went through a rather rough patch myself about 3 months back…so nomads we may be but we can still share the fire at the end of the day and tell our stories knowing that we are not alone…travel light

      Dear Brian,
      I am touched. Your kind words made me feel so much better! It is sad that we are forced to take the road much against our wishes. The important thing that becomes important is our survival! I am happy for you that it’s all over.. Mine has been looming since last 2 decades now.. let’s see how much more can it hang in there- I’m sure I’m gonna scare it away..

      Thank you for your wishes xx

    I like the picture. The thoughts made me think about the bottle, its travels and then heading to shore where it finally found solid ground. The bottle is pushed to and fro but thank goodness as humans we will our tos and fros, we are what we make of ourselves. I love the picture and the thoughts, thank you 🙂

    Olivia, dear friend, I have been in similar situations…physically and psychologically…yes and spiritually. I truly believe that we have no resting place in this life except within. But I wish you the joy of finding a place to settle and feel at home. Love to you.

    Hope you find that sold ground! 😀 You can find it under your feet, if you step off the rug. Rugs aren’t there to depend upon, but the sold ground of God is, and it never slips ou from under you.

      That’s what it is Paula.. the ground isn’t there- I want some. I happen to be amongst the chosen few who always have some or the other testing phase going on to brood over!
      Hope I soon find some place to place my feet upon.. 🙂

      Hugs xx
