The Green Serenity

22nd April, 2011

I caught hold of 2 pigeon birds yet again- almost together. My hands were full already. Although bigger than the sparrows or even parakeet or myna, these are the ones who get scared real bad. Try holding a grown up one- you’ll know. If it’s a baby still, it would keep crawling all over you. These have shacked up at my place ever since I shifted to this place. I place birdbaths in all the verandas for those primarily; wherein the blue beaks, brown beaks and even the red beaks take dips. I hope these bless me in turn. No conditions- just greedy!

So thinking of not to scare them, I let the 2 fluffy ones sit still on the veranda sill. Perhaps they had felt comfortable for they didn’t fly away; instead had kept hopping around. One of those had hopped a little farther but the lady pigeon had sat next to where I had placed my hand to lean over to watch. Suddenly her beaks had dropped. Instead another set of beaks grew under! It didn’t seem to be a pigeon anymore. It was some other bird.

While tossing onto the other side, I had memorized both of my dreams, so I could type those down; I have now forgotten the other one.. 😦

Here comes the part two.

I had barely opened my peepers in the morning, when my maid had wanted me to see something. A green parakeet squatting on the floor behind my grey fridge! It could not walk even, the floor was too slippery. Talk of rags to riches comfort! She is a baby parrot and hence a little shy but not as much scared. She wants to hide behind and I am not letting it. No point. The bird seller had caught it and my domestic has bought it. He had a pair of those. The male was bought over by someone else, while the lady is here. She brought it here at my home, since I love stroking their feathers. She feels I can talk to those. I had never ever wanted to cage a bird to pet it. If at all; I may have big trees around so I see them flying around in their natural habitat. If I am kind enough to food n water them; they’ll hop around me anyways. My desire is to see them enjoying their own life and not caged in name of petting one.

This bird may end up staying at my place for half the day for the next few days atleast. Don’t fool around- those perfect red pouts can bleed you to death. It didn’t bit me yet; but I have tested its strength already. For now it’s de-seeded a few chilies, some tomatoes, bread crumbs and little water. As a baby, it doesn’t know that it needs to drink some. When held next to its beak; it sipped some.

I have taught her to climb up using her claws, beaks and tail feathers. I had left it perched on the iron grill with net fixed on it. It’s only been a few hours as of now. As I type my post here, my hands are trembling still. I feel the keys of my keyboard to be the bird feathers.. as if I am stroking the green bird and being cautious so I don’t injure it. If it has claws, I have nails! Both of us have read beaks!

That’s amazing that Star Trek was cast all the way in India. It’s fun to share childhood memories. Thanks for that!

You bet Shanae! It was amazing indeed. No other series could ever compete with that. I am referring to the original 1st season with less mutated scientists.. lolss
I loved their teleporting part.. anyways that isn’t far behind as well.

Whoever thought that we would talk about our childhood n get connected in this way- someday? 😀

Thank you Shanae!! I am glad you liked those.. I find it cruel to cage them in the name of petting them. There is a reason to why they have wings.. isn’t it?

I have cardinals in my yard that are my most colorful at my birdbath. They are a splash of color in winter, and a joy in the green of spring.

Now, isn’t that a sweet thing to experience?
a splash of color in winter, and a joy in the green of spring.. quite likewise has been my life for the last couple of years- watching those pigeons and other rare species “stopping by” to take a “dip”- lolss

Your sharing reminded me of my own encounter when a bird flew in despite of my window grills being wired up.. And my cat, fury actually save it.. and yes, I took a few snap of it before releasing it..

Yes, birds are messengers and seriously, I was wondering what the bird was trying to bring.. It came totally unexpected because given to the condition of my window grills, it is unlikely for any birds to fly in..

Maybe I should a post and share it with you too.. and also, leave the pic in the cyber world.. 🙂

Have a blessed Holy Sat and a Happy Easter.. *HUUUUGG*

I love cats and I now love Fury more..

Well.. if there’s a message it had brought, I feel a big spinning change is on my way! I really need a break- a bigger one that would last forever.. 🙂

I would love to read your bird- post too! Please do post the snap shots for me to stare at.. 😀 Yet again I feel, science n occult are related. Cyber world is equivalent to the “past in time” These would keep floating around like we do in the ether..

Thank you for the Easter wishes.. wishing you likewise!
      Many hugs xoxox

Lovely video of the two of you, the bird seemed to be posing for the camera, or so it appeared.

Birds throughout history and in many cultures have been thought of as messengers of God or the ‘Divine One’.

    Have a blessed week end,

      Oh wow Joanny,

I as well think likewise! I feel they carry some message, convey and then leave..
The bird was clicked and shown the pics too so maybe that’s why it posed to be clicked! Come to think of it.. these pics would stay forever in the virtual world somewhere.. 🙂

Thank you so much for your wishes lovely one..
      Wishing you an enchanting weekend
