Alright, we all encounter first times. One of those is “life”. The first times never end in here. There’s always a surprise booked for you even more stalling than the last one.
So just when I decided that I need to try a Sonnet, D’verse supplicated my lookout. I did one and there, the next post there talks about the first time. Can’t even begin to thank you from where…
Oh well, like it is (always), I’m hesitant, wondering and definitely somewhat meek in admission to the fact that I’ve dared to compose a Sonnet. Pentametric- yes, iambic- ambiguous, Shakespeare form. I hope he doesn’t scratch the earth to jump down to end his Sonnetic life!

I am the weaver of this fairy tale.
Forgetting, all good things come to an end;
I had jumped to hang my heart on a nail!
Lover you were to me, not any friend.
Dreamingly, I had displayed your faces;
foolishly thinking that they will fill in,
for you, your love, creating some traces…
growing you on me, in my heart within.
Your face no longer compensates for you.
That fallacy is broken forever.
Concluded have I now, I am so through,
with loving you and that you did never.
I am breaking all patterns I had set-
mourning that we had at all ever met.

very cool introductory write-up, poetic in it’s own right. Sonnet’s are tough, great showing, love that you combined it with the Poetics prompt. Really great opening line and idea revolving about being the weaver of your own fairy tale, and how life itself is a first time. Creative interpretation, really nicely done. Thanks for sharing today

Thank Dear H!
Your prompt just made me do it… many of us spun a Sonnet 1st time what with Gay’s prompt on Sonnets before yours 🙂
Together, it was a killer; one that was mad awesome fun. Thank you 🙂

hahahaha… so right Brian!
It all now seems to a waste of time. Experiences apart, I didn’t reach anywhere for now atleast. I mean I didn’t grow as a person or maybe I just did!!
Thank you for all the encouraging words. I will catch your Sonnet in the evening…
Many hugs xoxoxo

Definitely difficult when life deals us some bad cards. However, I truly believe that the wait WILL be worth it. And you will have learned some valuable things from this experience as well.

Thank you for your support Mary! Indeed, of other things I also have a heartbreak to keep… bittersweet memories and a changed life if not improved!

Love hurts.. and it sucks when it does! But somehow, poetry makes even THAT sound musical and nice…
Easy flow, girl!! Tooo good (the poem, not the hurt)!
(hugs and sunshine..)

Alright! I am looking up now… for once I have been shying away like stung (not with Love- that’s buried- sigh! but with palpitation of writing this one)

A very good use of a difficult style. I think even the Bard would have to tip his hat at you for it.
The Lonely Recluse.
